DEAR CLIENTS,
We all know this is becoming such a hard time for so many folks. I am sending love, thoughts and prayers to the entire practice community of Annapolis Relationship Therapy including all my existing and new inquiry clients, my colleagues and my fellow health providers.
I am sending prayers to all of you parents who now are caring for your children at home. I am sending prayers to all of you who are worried about elderly parents and grandparents, and for those of you who cannot work, and are worried about finances. I am sending prayers to all our small businesses, who in the last few days, have had to close their doors.
I send special blessings and prayers to those of you who are very worried about loved ones (including perhaps yourself) who have compromised immune systems and are concerned about getting sick.
I send special gratitude to our courageous health workers caring for the afflicted, and to our health researchers who are doing all they can to find off label treatments, for those dangerously sick, and to develop a vaccine as quickly as possible.
My hope for all of us is to stay as calm as we can and be proactive re: prevention measures. Also think about other more positive things.
We need to be gentle with one another as we each deal with anxiety and worry in our own way.
The Psychotherapy Community has largely moved to telemedicine for the immediate future, and I will be following suit.
I am happily accepting NEW INDIVIDUALS and COUPLES to meet via teletherapy.
My colleagues have shared a virtual teleconferencing platform, Zoom .com, that is HIPAA compliant, secure, and confidential. It's worked extremely well so far in the Couples Therapy Community.
PRIOR TO YOUR SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT:
Clients will receive a personalized link to the virtual therapy session with your appointment reminder via email.
REQUIREMENTS:
You will need reliable computer with a webcam, strong Wi-Fi signal, and the Zoom app downloaded onto your device.
PLEASE NOTE:
If you are in couples therapy you will need to be together on the same computer.
We are also permitted to use other common platforms at this time, like SKYPE.
If all else fails to connect us, I will do phone sessions at least with Individuals. I am hopeful we will all find a way to connect virtually.
Social distancing is the responsible thing to do. For those of you at home, please use the time to gather with your families, have a schedule, get your work done, but also connect with each other in your home. And get a little exercise!
I am rooting for us all. We are in this together, and together is how we will prevail, with God’s grace and help.
With kindest regards,
Dr. Hunt
